Houghs Neck Community Council

Houghs Neck is having a Rubber Ducky Regatta fundraiser to support the Captain Steve Holler for Mayor of Houghs Neck effort on August 29 at 4 pm at the Rockland Street bridge at the Corner of Rockland and Spring Street. Everyone is invited to join us for this fun event, come and adopt your duck! $5 donation for each duck counts as 5 votes toward the election of Captain Holler as the next Mayor of Houghs Neck. A $25 dollar prize ...will be awarded to the first duck that crosses the finish line. The Mayor of Houghs Neck contest was started in 2008 as a way to raise funds to support local youth programs in Houghs Neck. The winner does not actually get a political post but they do get the bragging rights as the Mayor of Houghs Neck, just ask Ralph Jacobs our first Mayor of Houghs Neck. The Neighbors nominated Captain Steve Holler as a candidate for Mayor due to his long time support of the Houghs Neck Community Council and for his continuing efforts to support the community!
